Hope Reservoir

Did you know that Hope High School and the fields behind were once a reservoir? As our neighborhoods continue to have upgrades to our water mains, take a minute to learn about the Hope Reservoir and the city’s earliest efforts to bring drinking water to our homes. Rhode Tour, a project of The John Nicholas Brown Center for the Public Humanities, the RI Historical Society and the RI Council for the Humanities, details the history of hundreds of other places around Rhode Island.
